Reading the Torah

The Western Wall

Reading the Torah

Orthodox Jews often go to the Western Wall to do formal readings from the Torah (the first five books of the Hebrew Scriptures). This is especially true during feast days.

All the photographs featured in the calendar were taken by an Israeli photographer named Jack Hazut of www.israelimage.net.
